Like Castle Combe, Oulton Park is a firm favourite amongst drivers - excellent paddock facilities and a well finished, challenging track make an excellent combination.

From the Old Hall Corner to the end of the Avenue is a drop down to Knickerbrook all of which would be flat out if not for Dentons and Fosters both of which are still fast corners that require delicate control. Clay Hill is a suprisingly steep slope with a nearly blind left hand corner at the crest, Druids is deceptively fast with many novice drivers losing a lot of time due to over braking. Lodge corner is the reverse, it looks fast but is much tighter than it appears with a large gravel trap to catch the unwary/overambitious. The approach to the start/finish line is almost blind again thanks to a kink in the track that is not obvious from the circuit plan. Put all these together and you have some serious fun racing.

Spectators really get the best of it though with good facilities and excellent viewing areas. This really is one of the best circuits in the country and well worth the long drive that many competitors will need to make!
